This class is one of our virtual acting classes where online k12 students learn to deliver strong performances.

Virtual musical theater performance workshop with singing and voice lessons

Students will be cast and assigned roles in a musical theater play that will be performed at the end of the course. They must commit to the entire course, be available to attend all scheduled classes and participate in the final online performance.

How do online musical theatre classes work?

Students build upon Cohen and Adler acting techniques to ground themselves in character, expand their senses while using their space, and dig deeper into the circumstances that the character is currently experiencing. In addition, each student will be assigned a song that his/her character sings within the flow of the play.

Objectives

Students can accurately describe the Robert Cohen VOTE technique and have it apply to his/her performance of their character. They will  memorize and record a final performance of their musical theater song and will present it in the final online showcase.
