Online Music Theory Classes
Like any language, music consists of three components:
1. Writing (dictations & composition)
2. Reading (notes, symbols, expressive marks)
3. Speaking (sight-singing, rhythms, performing)
Our lessons will touch upon each of these components in an interactive lecture format, facilitating learning through collaborative activities.
At the start of each course session, students will be asked to complete an initial music theory questionnaire to assess their current knowledge and aid in curriculum development. Each class will include activities in rhythm, sight-singing, symbol recognition, and creative composition. Following each class, students will be provided with take-home worksheets to review and study new concepts over the course of the week.
