Monologue preparation class | advanced
Learn to deliver performance-ready monologues for professional auditions in this online class.
AHA Voice & Performing Arts Studio
Rebecca Luttio, MM, Professional Actor
This class is one of our virtual acting classes where online k12 students learn to deliver a strong performance.
Class Description
The Monologue Preparation Classes & Private Lessons are designed to give each student the opportunity to break down character, transport himself or herself into the understanding and circumstances of the character, and deliver a strong, performance-ready monologue for professional auditions, college entry auditions, as well as school play auditions.
Students will learn each piece as part of the full body of work, and as well as learn techniques to “make the character their own.”
Objectives
Students will come away with two contrasting monologues, memorized and ready to perform for auditions. They will read and analyzed two full plays from which the monologues have been extracted. Individuals will be confident in “slate”–how to properly introduce themselves and the monologue for the audition. Moreover, students will learn to accurately describe the Robert Cohen VOTE technique and have applied it to each monologue.
